Here is a double page spread from a music magazine.
It is featuring the singer Lily Allen.

The use of the font to show a quote from the singer looks like the letters have been cut out from a newspaper to make it more attractive and interesting and to maybe make a point that newspapers publish a lot of things about the singer. The font is kept black and white also to show the effect that it looks like newspaper cuttings.

She is also wearing gold chains as it is showing her style. Gold chains can also show that the magazine could be either and R&B or an Indie magazine as gold chains can be associated with that style.

The photo of Lily Allen is set on the right hand side of the double page spread and it is a fairly big picture to fully show the artist and it is a mid-shot to show what she is wearing and her pose for the magazine to show she is feisty. Her hair is also made to look a bit messy to go with the look for what she is wearing. Her eye make-up is also dark to go with the style and maybe to show her moodiness. The way that she is posing for this is with her hands on her hips to show attitude.

The colour theme is set to three specific colours, black, white and red. This is to keep the double page spread neat and consistent and make sure it is not looking to full with colour. The use of the colours can also illustrate what kind of magazine it is. The colours used could show that maybe it is an R&B, Indie or Rock magazine.

The narrative of this will be Lily Allen talking about herself for who she is and due to the title on this spread the narrative will be about all the rumours about her and what people have said about her and she will be revealing the real her. Her costume and make-up can highlight this fact too as it is showing her attitude and her costume is not very glamorous so it will be showing Lily Allen wearing what will make her look casual and more herself.
