Here is a contents page for a music magazine.

The main colours used are black, white and grey so they are kept fairly plain colours but it is kept plain and consistent. The use of the colours could show to the audience what genre the music magazine is. Use of dark colours could be an R&B or rock genre as this is the type of colours the audience will associate with them genres.

For the mise-en-scene element of costume, the singer is wearing quite revealing clothing by wearing a leotard and keeping her legs from being covered. This could show that she maybe a dancer as well as this type of style being associated with the R&B genre more. The use of the leotard could be to purposely show her legs and body off. The use of the jewellery and the belt can show a more glamorous side to the singer. She is also wearing heels and her she is lying on her back with her legs up in the air to show the heels. This could be to make the singer look good and to show she is in good shape. Her make-up is also making her look attractive so this may appeal to audiences.

The narrative could show that the singer may be talking about her fashion and maybe how she keeps in shape.

The title just saying 'Contents' is in white to keep with the colour theme and it is also big and bold to attract the audience. It has not been put onto one line but the letters go underneath each other. This could be to make the page look attractive and different. It may be the theme of that feature of the magazine.

The shot type is a long shot to show the full image of the artist. Due to the position of the singer a long shot would have been needed to show her full body and the position of her legs as they seem to be the main part of the image.

This could appeal to people interested in R&B music as Ciara is an R&B singer and also the style and fashion used may attract females. People who like Ciara as a singer will be interested in the magazine. Males be interested in the magazine due to the image of Ciara. This magazine will be aimed at teenagers or people in their twenties more as it is very modern and it will appeal to them more.
